How to Play

  • Setup: The board is set up with 8 rows and 8 columns. Each player starts with 16 pieces: pawns, rooks, knights, bishops, a queen, and a king.
  • Turns: Players alternate turns, moving one piece at a time.
  • Objective: Protect your king while aiming to trap your opponent's king in a position where it cannot escape (checkmate).

Cool Moves to Learn

The Fork: Use your knight or queen to attack two pieces simultaneously.
The Pin: Trap an opponent’s piece in front of a more valuable one, forcing them to leave it undefended.
The Skewer: Force your opponent to move a valuable piece, exposing a weaker one.
Castling: A special move to protect your king and activate your rook.
